We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Rating Developer to join our dynamic insurance technology team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, particularly in Rating and Product Model configuration, along with solid understanding of P&C insurance domain.
About the Role
The Guidewire Rating Developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Rating and Product Model changes in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement Rating and Product Model changes in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Work closely with business analysts and solution architects to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain rate books, rate tables, and rate routines.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Perform integration with external systems and services using Guidewire configuration and Gosu scripting.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance of rating components.
- Ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with QA and UAT teams to support testing and deployment activities.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Gosu programming language.
- Experience in configuring Rate Books, Rate Tables, Rate Routines, and Parameter Sets.
- Sound understanding of Insurance domain concepts (Policy, Product Model, Coverage, Premiums, etc.).
- Familiarity with Guidewire Studio, Configuration, and Integration frameworks.
- Experience with SOAP/REST APIs, XML, and JSON integrations.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
