Guidewire PolicyCenter - Lead Developer
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions
- Architect and deliver scalable and high-performance solutions aligned with business requirements
- Provide technical leadership to the development team and guide them on best practices
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and stakeholders to define functional and technical solutions
- Drive hands-on development in Gosu, Guidewire configurations, integrations, and enhancements
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure quality deliverables
- Design and implement integrations with external systems using APIs, Web Services (REST/SOAP), and messaging frameworks
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments
- Mentor junior developers and support team capability building
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of sprint commitments
- Support deployment, release management, and production issue resolution
Required Skills:
- 8-12+ years of IT experience, with 5-8 years in Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and development
- Expertise in:
- Gosu programming
- Data model extensions
- UI configuration (PCF)
- Business rules & workflows
- Experience in Guidewire integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, messaging)
- Strong understanding of Rating, Underwriting, Policy lifecycle
- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum delivery model
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in code management tools (Git, SVN, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification
- Experience in Cloud implementations (Guidewire Cloud)
- Exposure to BillingCenter/ClaimCenter
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience working with global clients (US/UK Insurance markets)
Domain Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain
- Experience in Policy administration, Rating, Pricing, and Underwriting processes

- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
