The Guidewire Policy Center Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and supporting the implementation and enhancement of the Guidewire Policy Center platform. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement sessions
- Convert business needs into clear, structured functional specifications
Guidewire PolicyCenter Expertise
- Work on configuration and customization of PolicyCenter modules
- Support areas like:
- Product model
- Policy lifecycle
- Underwriting rules
- Rating and quoting
- Understand integrations with:
- BillingCenter
- ClaimCenter
- External systems
Documentation & User Stories
- Create:
- User stories
- Functional requirement documents (FRDs)
- Acceptance criteria
- Maintain backlog using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a liaison between:
- Business users
- Developers
- QA teams
- Ensure alignment on requirements and solution design
Support Development & Testing
- Work closely with developers during implementation
- Assist QA team with:
- Test scenarios
- Test case validation
- UAT support
Release & Production Support
- Participate in release planning
- Support defect triage and resolution
- Provide production support when required
Required Skills
Technical / Functional
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Understanding of:
- Insurance domain (Property & Casualty preferred)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field
- 3–10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (depending on level)
- Experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter projects (implementation/support)
Preferred Qualifications
- Guidewire certifications (PolicyCenter BA or ACE)
- Experience in Agile / Scrum environments
- Exposure to multiple Guidewire modules
