Job Description: Guidewire Edge Developer
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Guidewire Edge Developer to design, develop, and maintain integrations using
Guidewire Edge APIs within the Guidewire Cloud ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Guidewire applications, API-driven development, and insurance domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Guidewire Edge integrations using RESTful APIs
- Design and maintain API-based integrations between Guidewire and external systems
- Work with Guidewire Cloud (GWCP) to leverage Edge APIs and digital capabilities
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements
- Participate in system design, development, testing, and deployment
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security of integration solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Guidewire integrations
- Follow best practices for coding, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Support upgrades, enhancements, and cloud migration initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications- 5–8+ years of experience in Guidewire development
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire Edge APIs / Integration Framework
- Strong proficiency in Java / Gosu
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and web services
- Knowledge of Guidewire applications:
- Policy Center
- Claim Center
- Billing Center
- Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP)
- Experience with integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Kafka, SOAP/REST services)
- Understanding of CI/CD, Git, Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Guidewire Digital / Jutro / Edge UI integrations
- Knowledge of Insurance domain (P&C preferred)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Certification in Guidewire (Associate/Professional level)
- Experience with microservices architecture
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science , IT, or related field
