Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Guidewire Data Conversion Business Analyst (BA) to join our insurance transformation team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in
Guidewire PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / BillingCenter data conversion, strong analytical and documentation skills, and hands-on experience in collaborating across technical and business teams to ensure seamless migration from legacy systems into the Guidewire suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the bridge between business and technical teams for all data conversion activities.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and data migration requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Collaborate with data architects, developers, and QA teams to define data mapping, transformation, and validation logic.
- Review and validate source-to-target mappings (STTM) and ensure adherence to data quality and compliance standards.
- Facilitate and document data profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation strategies.
- Support the development of migration test cases, test data, and validation scripts in collaboration with QA teams.
- Conduct UAT sessions to validate migrated data against business expectations.
- Identify data migration risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for cutover planning, data load validation, and post-migration verification.
- Provide ongoing support during the conversion cycles (mock, dry runs, production) and post-implementation stabilization phase.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with 3+ years in Guidewire data conversion/migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) and underlying data models.
- Experience in data migration methodologies, ETL tools, and data validation techniques.
- Solid understanding of insurance domain processes (Policy, Claims, Billing).
- Hands-on experience with data mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation reports.
- Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
Nice-to-Have:
- Mammoth Data Migration Certification or Guidewire certification.
- Experience with data conversion utilities (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Guidewire's ETL framework).
- Experience working with onshore/offshore delivery models.
