Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Guidewire Configuration Developer with hands-on experience in configuring and customizing Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter OR ClaimCenter, OR BillingCenter). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing configuration solutions aligned with business requirements in the insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and customize Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / BillingCenter).
- Develop and maintain business logic using Gosu programming language.
- Work on UI (PCF), Data Model (Entities), Rules, Workflows, and Integrations.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to understand requirements.
- Implement integrations using Web Services (SOAP/REST) and messaging frameworks.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices.
- Troubleshoot defects and provide production support.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Ensure performance optimization and system scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience in Guidewire configuration development.
- Strong expertise in:
- Guidewire PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / BillingCenter
- Gosu scripting
- Guidewire Studio
- Hands-on experience with:
- PCF (Page Configuration Format)
- Data Model Extensions (Entities, Typelists)
- Rules & Workflows
- Knowledge of integration techniques (SOAP/REST, JSON, XML).
- Familiarity with Java concepts (helpful for extensions).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment.
- Basic knowledge of SQL / relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Guidewire certifications (e.g., Associate/ACE certification).
- Experience in Insurance domain (Property & Casualty preferred).
- Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Understanding of performance tuning and debugging.
