Job Description: Guidewire Business Analyst

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and clients to define, analyze, and deliver requirements using Guidewire InsuranceSuite solutions. The role involves bridging business needs with technical implementation while ensuring alignment with Guidewire OOTB capabilities and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Guidewire implementations and enhancements.
  • Work closely with Clients, SMEs, Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.
  • Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and Guidewire OOTB functionality.
  • Define and document user stories, functional specs, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support configuration of Guidewire modules by providing detailed business rules, rating logic, and process flows.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and design discussions with stakeholders.
  • Assist QA teams during SIT/UAT, clarify functional queries, and validate test scenarios.
  • Support change management, data migration, and production rollout activities.
  • Provide post‐implementation support and help resolve functional issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst in Guidewire implementations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Guidewire InsuranceSuite modules such as:
    • PolicyCenter
    • BillingCenter
    • ClaimCenter (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Insurance domain, especially Commercial and/or Personal Lines.
  • Experience working with Guidewire OOTB functionality and configurations.
  • Ability to create BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and user stories.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models.

Functional & Domain Knowledge

  • Policy lifecycle, rating, underwriting, billing, claims, and endorsements.
  • Regulatory and compliance considerations in insurance processes.
  • Integration understanding between Guidewire and external systems (CRM, finance, document management, etc.).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work across multiple workstreams and manage priorities.
  • Client-facing experience with strong presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Guidewire Cloud or upgrades.
  • Certification in Guidewire Business Analyst or related modules.
  • Exposure to global insurance clients and large-scale transformation programs.
