Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled
Guidewire BillingCenter Integration Developer to join our enterprise insurance transformation program. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Guidewire BillingCenter, focusing on
integration design, development, and implementation using Guidewire APIs, messaging, and plugins. This role requires hands-on experience working with
Gosu,
web services, and
middleware technologies to build robust and scalable integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions between Guidewire BillingCenter and external/internal systems (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, payment gateways, financial systems, etc.).
- Configure and customize Guidewire Messaging, Event Framework, and Integration Plugins (SOAP, REST, JMS, etc.).
- Develop and maintain Gosu classes, web service clients, batch processes, and integration components.
- Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects to analyze integration requirements and translate them into technical design specifications.
- Implement real-time and batch integrations, ensuring scalability and data consistency.
- Work closely with Billing, Payments, and Invoicing modules to support end-to-end financial transactions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance across environments.
- Develop and maintain integration documentation, technical mapping, and API specifications.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure smooth build, deployment, and testing processes.
- Participate in code reviews, design walkthroughs, and production support for integration components.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-8 years of total IT experience with 3+ years in Guidewire BillingCenter (Integration & Configuration).
- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire Integration Architecture, including Messaging, Plugins, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Proficiency in Gosu programming, XML, JSON, and XSD.
- Experience with Guidewire Financial Transactions, Payments, and Invoicing modules.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire Batch Processing, Event Messaging, and Workflow Engine.
- Hands-on experience in middleware and integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar).
- Familiarity with Guidewire Application Server architecture (Tomcat, WebSphere, or WebLogic) and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, JIRA).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Guidewire BillingCenter Integration Certification or Guidewire Certified Developer.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud and API Gateway integrations.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Understanding of insurance billing workflows such as direct bill, agency bill, and installment plans.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
