Education: Any graduate degree from a recognized institution.
Experience: 5–10 years of overall QA experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant, hands-on testing experience on Guidewire BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
Strong Guidewire expertise: Proven experience testing configurations, integrations, and customizations in at least two of the three modules (BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter), with solid understanding of P&C insurance processes.
Automation skills: Practical experience in designing and executing Playwright-based automation for web applications, including scripting, debugging, and maintaining test suites.
Testing fundamentals: Solid knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC), defect life cycle, test design techniques, and regression testing strategies.
Communication & collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, clearly articulate issues, and provide structured feedback in an agile environment
Lead end-to-end quality engineering for Guidewire BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, and ClaimCenter implementations, ensuring high-quality releases for complex insurance workflows.
Design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based automation frameworks for UI and API testing of Guidewire applications, focusing on reusability, scalability, and maintainability.
Analyze business and technical requirements to derive comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and sanity testing.
Drive test automation adoption by identifying high-value regression scenarios in Guidewire modules and converting them into robust automated suites using Playwright.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, BAs, product owners, architects) to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and embed quality practices early in the lifecycle.
Perform hands-on testing of BillingCenter/PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter configurations, integrations, and customizations, validating rating, billing, policy, and claims processes end-to-end.
Implement CI-friendly test suites by integrating Playwright automation into build pipelines, enabling frequent, reliable regression runs and quick feedback to the team.
Monitor and report on quality metrics such as defect trends, automation coverage, and test execution results, providing clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
Troubleshoot complex defects across Guidewire modules, working with development teams to isolate root causes and validate fixes in a timely manner.
Mentor and guide junior testers in Guidewire domain knowledge, test design, and automation best practices, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning.
Ensure compliance with QA standards, documentation practices, and organizational processes for test artifacts, defect management, and release sign-off.
Advanced Guidewire proficiency: Hands-on experience across all three modules—BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, and ClaimCenter—covering end-to-end policy, billing, and claims lifecycle scenarios.
Playwright framework ownership: Demonstrated ability to architect or significantly enhance a Playwright automation framework (page object model, test data strategy, environment configuration, parallel execution).
CI/CD integration: Experience integrating Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) to enable automated regression and smoke suites on each build.
Performance and reliability mindset: Exposure to non-functional testing concepts (performance, reliability, stability) for large-scale enterprise applications, especially in insurance or financial services.
Leadership in quality engineering: Prior experience leading small QA/automation teams, setting quality goals, reviewing test assets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Domain understanding: Strong understanding of P&C insurance products, rating, billing cycles, claims handling, and related business rules within Guidewire implementations.
Documentation & best practices: Proven track record of maintaining clear test documentation, reusable test libraries, and enforcing coding and testing standards in automation projects. Good to have skills: Git, Jenkins, REST API testing, SQL, Agile/Scrum
