As a General Service Assistant (GSA), you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences across service touchpoints assisting in Food & Beverage operations, supporting Front Office activities, and contributing to housekeeping standards. You will be expected to deliver friendly, efficient, and professional service while upholding The Orchid Hotel's service excellence and brand standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFood & Beverage (F&B) Service
Prepare and set up service areas according to operational standards prior to service.
Greet and assist guests in dining areas with warmth and professionalism.
Serve food and beverages promptly, following service standards and hygiene practices (e.g., HACCP).
Clear and reset tables, restock condiments and service items, and maintain cleanliness of service stations.
Support team members during high-volume periods and ensure guest satisfaction throughout.
Front Office Support
Welcome guests with a professional, courteous attitude when assisting at the front desk or guest service points.
Assist guests with general inquiries, directions, hotel information and requests in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping for smooth communication regarding room readiness and guest needs.
Maintain tidy and organized guest interaction areas (e.g., lobby, reception counters).
Housekeeping Assistance
Support the housekeeping team to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards in guest rooms and public areas.
Respond to guest requests for housekeeping services (extra amenities, linen, towels, etc.).
Assist in replenishment of linen, amenities and housekeeping supplies as required.
Report maintenance issues and lost & found items to the appropriate supervisor.
General Guest Service
Provide courteous and responsive assistance to guests, anticipating needs and addressing concerns promptly.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless and quality service delivery.
Follow all hotel policies, procedural guidelines and safety standards.
Support special functions, events, or additional service duties as assigned to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: High School / Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma/certification is a plus.
Experience: Prior exposure to hospitality service disciplines (F&B, front office, housekeeping) is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to varying operational demands.
Professional, well-groomed appearance appropriate for a luxury hotel environment.
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist across departments.
Basic computer skills are beneficial.
