Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned public areas as per hotel SOPs and brand standards.
  • Replace linens, towels, guest supplies, and room amenities.
  • Ensure all rooms are maintained in a neat, hygienic, and presentable condition.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or lost & found items to the supervisor immediately.
  • Follow daily room assignment sheets and complete tasks within the required time.
  • Maintain proper usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests at all times.
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering departments whenever required.
  • Attend departmental briefings and training sessions regularly.
  • Follow grooming and attendance standards as per hotel policy.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning methods.
  • Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
  • Team-oriented attitude with attention to detail.
  • Positive guest service approach.

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass or Hotel Management background preferred.

Experience

  • Fresher or 0–2 years of experience in Housekeeping operations in hotels.
