Job role- Guest Service Associate in the Food & Beverage
Location- Jakkur , Bangalore
As a Guest Service Associate in the Food & Beverage department, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences through prompt and courteous service. You will assist in the smooth operation of the F&B outlets, maintaining cleanliness, and providing knowledgeable assistance to guests regarding menu items and services.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival at the F&B outlets.
- Seat guests and provide them with menus in a timely manner.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system promptly.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly and courteously to any complaints or concerns.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining areas, including tables, chairs, and condiment stations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, events, and special offers within the F&B outlets.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, following established procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager or supervisory staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in hospitality management is preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Knowledge of food and beverage products, including ingredients and preparation methods, is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.
