Role: Guest Faculty – UI/UX & Web
MAAC SILIGURI is looking for a Guest Faculty for UI/UX & Web to conduct specialized classroom and practical sessions for students.
The Guest Faculty will be responsible for sharing practical industry knowledge, demonstrating modern design and web-development workflows, guiding students through projects, and helping them develop skills relevant to current industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging UI/UX & Web Design classes on a guest/visiting faculty basis.
- Teach practical concepts related to UI/UX design, visual design, wireframing, prototyping and web interfaces.
- Demonstrate industry-standard tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent tools.
- Guide students in creating user flows, wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Teach fundamentals of HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript where applicable.
- Review student projects and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and project-based learning sessions.
- Help students understand current UI/UX and web design trends and industry practices.
- Guide students in developing professional-quality portfolios.
- Coordinate with the academic team regarding class requirements, projects and student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong practical knowledge of UI/UX and Web Design.
- Good understanding of layout, typography, color theory, design systems and visual hierarchy.
- Hands-on experience with Figma and other UI/UX tools.
- Knowledge of wireframing, prototyping, user flows and usability principles.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript will be an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical and design concepts clearly to students.
- Industry experience or previous teaching/training/mentoring experience will be highly preferred.
- Relevant degree, certification or equivalent professional/industry experience.
