Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned GST professional to manage indirect tax compliance for a travel-focused business. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in GST regulations, especially as they apply to travel services, cross-border transactions, and complex billing structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end GST filings including monthly, quarterly, and annual returns
- Apply correct tax treatment for airline tickets, hotel bookings, tour packages, and service fees
- Manage ITC reconciliation and ensure optimal credit utilization
- Handle zero-rated supplies, LUT filings, and overseas service transactions
- Manage RCM implications for international vendors and GDS partners
- Support audits, assessments, and departmental correspondence
- Advise finance teams on compliant and tax-efficient invoicing models
- Conduct internal compliance checks and GST knowledge sessions
Requirements
- Certified GST Practitioner (mandatory)
- 810 years of GST compliance and advisory experience
- Exposure to travel or tourism taxation preferred
- Strong understanding of SAC, ITC, RCM, and GST systems
- Excellent analytical and stakeholder communication skills
