GSPANN - System Engineer - Zabbix/AppDynamics

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in application monitoring, observability, and integration, capable of owning application support from development through production. The ideal candidate combines monitoring tool expertise (AppDynamics/Zabbix) with solid programming and API integration skills to support end-to-end application lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance using observability tools (AppDynamics, Zabbix or any other tools).
• Onboard new applications onto monitoring platforms and manage tool migrations (e.g., AppD to Zabbix or Similar).
• Design and implement integrations between systems using REST APIs.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python.
• Support the full application lifecycle from development and deployment through production support.
• Manage code effectively, including version control, branching, and release processes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve incidents and improve system reliability.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement in monitoring and support processes.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with AppDynamics and/or Zabbix (or similar APM/monitoring tools).
• Strong understanding of observability principles - metrics, logs, tracing, alerting.
• Proficiency in REST API design, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Solid Python programming and scripting skills for automation.
• Experience with code management tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows.
• Practical experience supporting applications in production environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on system-level integration challenges.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
