Job Description

A Growth Designer is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of Product Design, Data Science, and Marketing Strategy. Unlike a traditional UX designer who focuses on usability and delight, a Growth Designer focuses on metric-driven outcomes (Activation, Retention, Monetization).

They don't just ask Is this easy to use—they ask Does this increase our Free-to-Paid conversion rate

Location: Vadodara(k10 Grand)

Role Type: Full-time

Reports To: Head of Growth / VP of Design

Key Stakeholders: Product Managers, Data Analysts, Marketing Tech, and Engineering

About the Role

We are looking for a Data-Driven Designer who wants to move the needle. As a Growth Designer, you won't just design features; you will design experiments. You will own the user's journey from Visitor to Power User, optimizing every touchpoint to remove friction and drive business value.

You will live in Figma, but you will breathe in Mixpanel/Amplitude. If you love A/B testing, psychology-driven UX, and high-velocity iteration, this role is for you.

Core Responsibilities

1. Full-Funnel Optimization

  • Acquisition: Design high-converting landing pages and ad creatives that lower CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost).
  • Activation: Overhaul the onboarding flow to reduce Time-to-Value. (e.g., getting a new user to their Aha! moment in <3 minutes).
  • Monetization: Optimize pricing pages, checkout flows, and upgrade prompts to increase ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) and conversion rates.
  • Retention: Design habit loops and re-engagement campaigns (email templates, push notifications) that bring inactive users back.

2. Experimentation & Iteration

  • A/B Testing: Lead the design side of experiments. Create multiple variations of UI components (CTAs, headlines, layouts) to test hypotheses.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Ship Good Enough designs quickly to validate ideas with AI-assisted tools rather than waiting for Pixel Perfect designs that might fail. Speed is a feature.
  • Data Analysis: Work with analysts to interpret heatmaps (Hotjar/CrazyEgg) and funnel drop-off data. Translate numbers into design improvements.

3. Behavioral Psychology & UX

  • Psych-Driven Design: Apply principles like Scarcity, Social Proof, and Loss Aversion ethically to guide user behavior.
  • Friction Removal: Identify leaky buckets in the user journey (e.g., a confusing signup form) and patch them with intuitive design fixes.

Requirements

Hard Skills:

  • Product Design: 1.5+ years in UX/UI design with a portfolio showing results (e.g., Increased signup conversion by 15%), not just pretty visuals.
  • Tooling: Expert in Figma (Auto-layout, Systems). Proficient with prototyping tools (Protopie/Principle).
  • Data Literacy: Familiarity with analytics tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, or Heap. You don't need to be a data scientist, but you must know how to read a funnel.
  • No-Code (Bonus): The ability to build your own landing pages in Webflow, Framer, or Unbounce is a massive plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Business Acumen: You understand business metrics (LTV, Churn, CAC) and design with ROI in mind.
  • Detachment: You don't fall in love with your designs. If the data says an ugly button converts better, you ship the ugly button.
  • Hustle: You are comfortable in a high-velocity environment where Shipping > Perfection.

Example Projects You Might Lead

  1. Redesigning the Free Trial modal to increase upgrade rates by 10%.
  2. Creating a gamified Profile Completion bar to improve user activation.
  3. Designing a referral program dashboard to boost viral growth.

Why Join Us

  • Impact: Your work will directly correlate to revenue and growth numbers.
  • Autonomy: You will lead your own experiments and have the budget to test bold ideas.
