ABOUT THE ROLE

Autocar India is India's oldest and most trusted automotive media brand, now operating as a full-stack digital product. We are building a product that does more than publish content — it guides users through the entire new car buying journey, from discovery to decision.

We are looking for a Group Product Manager to lead the commercial product function at autocarindia.com — owning how users find us, how they engage with our content, how they move toward a purchase decision, and how we generate revenue from that intent.

This is a senior IC + people manager hybrid role. You will own the product roadmap across acquisition, conversion, and monetization, manage and grow a team of PMs, and be the primary product voice in conversations with engineering, editorial, ad sales, and business leadership.

LOCATION

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Acquisition & Discovery

  • Organic search, Google Discover, and emerging AI-driven traffic channels
  • Content discoverability — article architecture, page performance, structured data
  • Growing qualified monthly sessions from editorial and structured content surfaces

Conversion

  • The full funnel from content engagement to lead: vehicle pages, lead forms, comparison tools, recommendation surfaces
  • Soft conversion mechanics: shortlisting, pre-launch interest capture, re-engagement
  • Lead volume and lead quality as core KPIs

Revenue

  • Programmatic advertising: header bidding, yield optimization, floor pricing, AMP monetization
  • Native and branded content formats: OEM placements, co-branded finance and insurance widgets, sponsored editorial integrations
  • New transaction-based revenue models in active market pilot

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

  • Your PM team: Manage and grow a team of PMs across your areas of ownership
  • Engineering: Sprint planning and delivery with the Autocar tech team
  • Editorial: Alignment on content strategy that drives traffic and conversion
  • Ad Sales & Revenue Operations: On native ad formats, OEM partnerships, and dealer networks
  • Analytics: Data-driven roadmap prioritization using funnel metrics

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Must Have

  • 6–9 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years managing PMs
  • Demonstrated ownership of a revenue-generating digital product (media, marketplace, or fintech)
  • Strong command of SEO and content product thinking — you understand how search algorithms, structured data, and page performance affect traffic
  • Experience with programmatic advertising products or willingness to learn fast
  • Comfortable with data — can pull your own numbers and reason from them, not just read dashboards
  • Sharp instinct for conversion — you think about every surface as a potential intent signal

Good to Have

  • Experience in automotive, real estate, or any high-consideration purchase category
  • Exposure to CRM, messaging-based lead nurturing, or voicebot products
  • Understanding of native advertising and OEM co-marketing formats
  • Experience scaling a transactional product from pilot to market
