Location: Noida / Bangalore
Team: Product Management
Experience: 8–10 years (5+ in Product)
About PhysicsWallah:
At PhysicsWallah (PW), we are on a mission to democratize education at scale in India. What started as a vision by our founder, Alakh Pandey, to provide high-quality, affordable education to every student has grown into one of India's leading EdTech unicorns. Today, we serve millions of learners across online, offline, and hybrid modes, reaching 98% of India's pin codes.
As we continue to expand our impact, our Product teams play a critical role in shaping experiences that empower learners, educators, and internal stakeholders. From identifying user needs and defining product strategy to driving execution across cross-functional teams, our Product Managers solve meaningful problems at scale.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Group Product Manager to own PW's LMS Derivatives, Higher Education Verticals, and Expansion Initiatives: the portfolio of branded LMS rollouts (Xylem, SarrthiIAS, PW Gulf), upskilling and professional education products (PW Skills, Medharthi, Institute of Innovation - IOI), and institutional partnerships (Digital University and government programmes).
This is a client-facing, compliance-aware, platform-focused role. Product decisions here are as much about change management, SLA delivery, and regulatory alignment as they are about roadmaps and features. You'll lead a team of PMs and be the primary product POC for founders, university administrators, and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
LMS Derivatives & Client-Facing Product
- Own end-to-end delivery for each LMS rollout: from requirements gathering with brand founders through launch, post-go-live support, and iteration.
- Define and maintain a shared feature baseline across all LMSs; manage what's standard vs. bespoke.
- Lead change management for new rollouts: stakeholder alignment, UAT, training, and support triage.
- Own platform SLAs and hold engineering accountable; manage integration partners (SSO, payments, LRS/xAPI, content providers).
- Benchmark PW's LMS against industry-leading platforms; drive the roadmap to world-class standards.
Higher Education, Skills & Government Partnerships
- Own the product roadmap for Medharthi, Skills, IOI, and the Digital University: professional, skills, and degree-linked programmes.
- Translate UGC/AICTE/LTI compliance requirements into product specs; admission workflows, credit transfer, attendance systems, examination integrations
- Own API integration projects with institutional IT systems; build repeatable partner onboarding playbooks to reduce time-to-launch for new institutional partnerships.
Strategy & Team Leadership
- Run competitive analysis across LMS platforms and skills/higher-ed platforms to inform roadmap and positioning.
- Define and track product KPIs across the portfolio: activation, feature adoption, platform stability, partner NPS.
- Lead the PM team: sprint planning, PRD reviews, prioritisation, and career development.
- Translate business asks into structured product requirements and feasibility assessments.
- Act as the primary product POC for external partners (brand founders, university administrators, government programme managers, skills council contacts).
What We're Looking For
Must-Have
- 8-10 years total experience, with 5+ years in product management.
- Background in B2B SaaS, platform products, enterprise tooling, or client-facing software: ideally multi-tenant or multi-client environments.
- Comfortable working directly with external stakeholders: gathering requirements, managing timelines, handling escalations.
- Strong platform thinking: when to standardise vs. customise, how to manage a multi-brand roadmap.
- Technically fluent: APIs, SSO/OAuth, data migrations, integration architecture: you don't write code, but you lead engineering conversations.
- Clear communicator across audiences: PRDs for engineers, compliance updates for university registrars, status briefs for leadership.
- Solid agile delivery chops: sprint planning, backlog grooming, release management.
Good to Have
- Prior experience working on or with LMS platforms; Knowledge of e-learning standards: xAPI / LRS, SCORM, IMS standards.
- Experience with government or institutional partnerships
- Exposure to M&A integration work - migrating acquired products or brands onto a shared platform.
- Prior experience at a startup or in a founder-adjacent role, comfort with ambiguity and building playbooks from scratch
Why Join PW
- Work on genuinely hard, multi-stakeholder product problems; you'll be doing things most B2C PMs never touch: compliance-driven product design, white-label platform strategy, and institutional change management at scale.
- High autonomy and high visibility: you'll own a portfolio that spans multiple brands, government partnerships, and directly shapes PW's expansion strategy.
- Be part of a mission-driven, execution-first team building affordable, accessible education infrastructure for Bharat.
- Grow fast: PW is scaling its platform footprint aggressively, and this role puts you at the centre of that.
