This is mid level, sourcing category manager position in Captive Procurement function for supporting the Professional Services portfolio (Sourcing and Contracting). This role is designed for professionals who can balance cost optimization with value creation across diverse spend categories.
About the Role
The incumbent is expected to have minimum 4-6 years of relevant industry experience, specifically in Services Contract management, Category Management, Vendor Engagement, Procure to Pay (P2P), MIS and Performance reporting. Candidates who have prior experience in HR / Recruitment sourcing, consultancy related contracts will be preferred. Candidate should have exposure to domestic (India) and International sourcing. This position is based out of Mumbai and will operate in Hybrid model of working.
Responsibilities
- PROFESSIONAL SERVICES category Category buyer / mid-manager for Professional Services Category and enable strategic sourcing for this category.
- Spend Analysis & Category Management to identify opportunities and deliver savings.
- Manage and track a wide variety of specific contracts – renewals – negotiations.
- Good knowledge and hands-on sourcing experience of wide range of services used by Corporates such as Recruitment (Hiring agency & Job Portals), Payroll services, Marketing & Branding services, Legal advisory, or any other type of professional services.
- Identify potential Service Providers, Run RFQ's, evaluates RFPs/RFQs responses and proposals based on type of service needed, T&C.
- Vendor Management & Engagement to build strong, value-driven partnerships.
- Candidates should be able to finalize contracts with selected suppliers using commercials and legal parameters.
- Ensure and expand procurement policy penetration, lead knowledge management and resolve contracting issues.
- Ensure completion of documentation requirements (MSA & SoW's, Short term contract).
- Exposure to both domestic (India) and international sourcing in Captive procurement, and not in Client facing roles.
- Build a knowledge repository for services used, preferred vendors, contract strengthening.
- Work with various support teams within the function for P2P (procure to pay) process.
- Candidate should be able to segregate between short term and long term engagements and plan sourcing accordingly.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of Bachelor's degree in Commerce, BMS or BBA.
- Additional certifications in procurement domain.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 8- 10 years experience in Captive Procurement function in ITES/BPO/KPO/Consulting companies.
- Core Knowledge of Professional Services as a Corporate Spend Category, key constituents, types of internal users and deliverables expected in the category MIS.
- Strong Excel Skills, knowledge of digital tools / databases.
- Contract review (Knowledge of legal terms in service contracting).
- Team player and lease a small team of 1-2 members if situation requires.
