Measures of Success

  • In three months, you will have:A full understanding of your portfolio of brands.
  • Understood the different stakeholders within the agency and started building relationships with them.
  • Helped your team craft the agency's responses to client briefs.
  • In six months, you will have:The ability to lead strategic and executional discussions with clients.
  • A full understanding of what's happening with your clients and be able to lead your team in that aspect.
  • Visibility as the leader of your team within the agency and with clients.
  • Started interacting with our regional agency teams where applicable.
  • In 12 months, you will have:Led the annual planning process for your clients.
  • Become the seamless bridge between local clients and regional/global agency teams.
  • The ability to converse on measurement metrics across touchpoints based on campaign objectives.
  • Won awards in both internal and external forums like FOM, Cannes, Smarties, and RAMAI.
  • Started driving agency KPIs, balancing them with client KPIs.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Brand guardianship on your assigned brands.
  • Build a relationship as the client's strategic advisor on all communication-related issues for the brand/category.
  • Clarify, formalize, and manage client expectations on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop strategic thinking for the brands you handle.
  • Supervise and lead Annual Operating Plans and Communication Reviews with your teams.
  • Be the key contact for the Brand/Media Manager for your brands.
  • Push planning thinking by utilizing MediaCom's research, systems, and tools.
  • Search for and reapply regional/global learnings to local campaigns.
  • Create monthly media reviews and reports.
  • Lead the conceptualization of local media campaigns and initiatives.
  • Supervise and develop your team, maintaining a high level of motivation among team members.
  • Ensure basic training and orientation for new team members.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all SOPs and audit rules.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar setup.
  • Ability to lead a team with full authority, while also being able to motivate them during periods of high media activity.
  • Overcome typical media agency pitfalls by building relationships with team members across planning, buying, operations, and finance/billing.
  • Be process-driven.
  • Have good relations with media partners.
  • Possess strong business acumen along with being a fundamentally sound media professional.
  • Understanding of 360-degree media is essential.
