Job Description
Company: Adfactors PR | Location: Mumbai | Experience: 13-18 years
Reports to: Managing Director / Business Head
Role Summary
Lead a portfolio of client accounts and own client relationships, communication strategy, and revenue growth. The role suits a senior professional from PR, consulting, corporate communication, or journalism (technology journalism is a plus) with credibility among business leaders and media.
Preferred background: Experience handling B2B technology, start-ups, enterprise technology, corporate communication, industrials, and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Client leadership: Act as strategic counsel to CXOs, CMOs, founders, and corporate communication heads. Lead planning and business reviews, and retain and grow accounts.
- Strategy and counsel: Build integrated communication plans covering media relations, thought leadership, corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement, and digital. Provide issue and crisis counsel.
- Media relations: Maintain strong relationships with business, technology, and trade journalists and editors. Oversee spokesperson programmes, launches, and event visibility.
- Thought leadership and advocacy: Develop narratives, op-eds, and POVs. Lead policy and advocacy communication, and engage industry bodies and external stakeholders.
- Start-up and enterprise engagement: Support start-ups through funding, launch, and growth communication, and enterprise clients through corporate positioning and B2B campaigns.
- Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and set KPIs for the Mumbai team. Build talent and succession.
- Business and financial management: Own portfolio revenue, profitability, billing, and collections. Contribute to annual planning.
- New business: Lead pitches and proposals, and generate leads through industry networks.
- Measurement: Ensure insightful reporting on coverage quality, share of voice, sentiment, and business impact.
- Agency visibility: Represent Adfactors PR at industry forums, awards, and speaking engagements.
Qualifications and Experience
- 13-18 years in public relations, consulting, corporate communication, or journalism
- Proven experience across B2B technology, start-ups, enterprise technology, corporate, industrials, and advocacy
- Graduate/postgraduate in Mass Communication, Journalism, Management, or a related field; an MBA is an advantage
- Proven record of managing large accounts and teams, ideally at an agency
