Job Description

Job Purpose

The job exists to achieve the Group's vision and mission to be the global leader in land transport and to deliver sustainable results and growth through a focus on mergers and acquisitions.

Key Accountabilities

We are looking for self-motivated and talented professionals at the corporate level to play a crucial role in the execution of mergers and acquisitions globally across the group. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating M&A opportunities, conducting financial analysis, developing financial models and driving the execution of the transactions across various functional stakeholders. This position is designed for detail-oriented individuals with strong analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

1. Perform qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on industry and business;

2. Perform valuation analysis for the business based on various valuation techniques. Experience with building and running financial models independently is a pre-requisite;

3. Supporting end-to-end transaction process including due diligence, structuring, legal documentation and integration; and

4. Prepare management presentations and approval papers.

(Note: Travel outside of Singapore is required for the above)

Working Relationships

Internal Parties & Nature of Interactions:

• Reports to VP Group BD.

• Work closely with functional specialists of various local/overseas business units for advisory, technical, operational inputs channeled towards project feasibility studies and evaluation.

External Parties & Nature of Interactions:

• Interact with existing industry players, potential partners, business contacts and regulators to explore potential collaboration; seek information to conduct feasibility study or commercial due diligence.

• Work together with professional external advisors (primarily legal and financial/tax) for due diligence, deal structuring and documentation.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics or Business Administration or related discipline. CFA will be a plus.

Minimum Years/Type of Experience

• > 5 years relevant experience in Big 4 valuation/corporate finance team, investment banking or corporate finance houses; and

• experience in land transport industry is a plus but not required.

Technical Competencies

• Highly meticulous with strong financial analytical skills;

• Ability to build and run financial models;

• Strong business acumen;

• Strong in excel and powerpoint
