This Position reports to:

Head of Financial Reporting and Consolidation Systems

Join ABB Robotics as we build and operate our new OneStream consolidation and reporting platform. As a key leader within the Consolidation Team, you will play a central role in designing and implementing new processes that support both internal and external financial reporting of the Group. During the transition to OneStream, you will be responsible for managing consolidation activities in the legacy HFM environment, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of reporting through the final system transition date. You will help ensure that all reporting entities submit financial information accurately and in accordance with ABB Robotics US GAAP Accounting & Reporting Policies and, in the future, SoftBank's IFRS reporting requirements. You will support the testing of the new consolidation system through reconciliation, validation, and consolidation activities while helping establish a best-in-class consolidation and reporting function.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid

The preferred location is Milano, Italy


Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the transition to the new OneStream consolidation system as part of the Finance Transformation Program.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, supporting both stand-alone reporting requirements and SoftBank IFRS reporting.

  • Monitor and ensure the complete and accurate reporting of transactions by reporting units in key consolidation areas, including cash flow, equity, inventory profit eliminations, acquisitions, divestitures, and disclosures.

  • Partner closely with the Financial Reporting Team to prepare SoftBank reporting packages and external stand-alone financial reporting deliverables.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with Finance and Accounting Operations teams to ensure timely submission of financial information for consolidation.

  • Prepare and document consolidation adjustments and ensure all intercompany balances and unrealized profits are eliminated.

  • Manage foreign currency translation, ownership interests, consolidation hierarchies (legal and management), the Group chart of accounts, etc.


Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and accounting within a multinational organization and/or a Big Four audit firm, with strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and hands-on experience in consolidation accounting.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial consolidation systems experience with OneStream is a strong advantage. Affinity for BI solutions and a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and processes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify practical solutions and drive continuous improvement.

  • Proactive, hands-on, and collaborative team player who thrives in an international, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
