Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterlyand half-yearly Group financial reports, including Group consolidation, financial statements, SGX results announcements and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Perform and review month-end closing activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliationsand AR/AP ageing reconciliations, to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with reporting entities to obtain financial information and supporting schedules review financial submissions, including forecasts, budgets and cash-flow projections and analyse significant variances.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections and supplier payments.
- Provide support to regional subsidiaries on day-to-day accounting, financial reporting and other finance-related matters.
- Assist in the preparation of Board and Audit Committee meeting materials and other management reports.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, and liaise with auditors, tax agents and other professional advisers on GST, tax and audit matters.
- Support the implementation of Group accounting policies, finance processes and internal control initiatives.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of Group reporting schedules, accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and review the fixed asset register, and assist with the annual stock-take where required.
- Assist the Finance Manager and Financial Controller with ad hoc finance and accounting assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, and/or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience inexternal audit and/or Group Finance, with hands-on experience in Group consolidation.
- Experience in public-listed company reporting and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel familiarity with accounting systems such as AutoCount is an advantage.
- Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with a meticulous and proactive approach and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong reading, writing and conversational skills.
