Job Description

At SIMAERO, the Ground Instructor (Technical & Performance) is responsible for delivering high- quality theoretical training in aircraft systems and performance subjects as part of the Approved Training Organization (ATO). The instructor ensures compliance with DGCA CAR Section 7, Series I, Part VII) and contributes to maintaining training standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction & Training Delivery
  • Deliver structured theoretical knowledge training in technical (aircraft systems) and/ or performance (flight performance & special operations) subjects as DGCA approved syllabus
  • Conduct initial training for type rating, and special operations
  • Conduct ground training and recurrent training (as required and appropriate) for pilots/ SFIs, and Ground Instructors
  • Ensure effective classroom delivery, trainee engagement, and learning outcomes
  • Standardization & Compliance
  • Ensure all training is delivered in compliance with DGCA CARs, approved Training & Procedures Manual.
  • Maintain standardization of instruction in line with guidance from the Head of Training and CGI
  • Stay updated with latest aviation regulations, OEM documentation, and industry best practices
  • Assist in development and updating of courseware, presentations, and training materials
  • Support integration of aircraft -specific systems and performance content into training programs and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Examinations & Assessments
  • Design, implement, and review theoretical knowledge examinations and ensure secure handling and delivery of assessment materials.
  • Conduct written examinations, oral assessments, and evaluations as per approved procedures
  • Monitor trainee performance and provide feedback to HoT to ensure competency achievement
  • Ensure examination records are maintained and analyzed for continuous improvement of the training program.
  • Record Keeping & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of training delivery, attendance, assessments, and trainee performance
  • Participate in internal audits and assist the Quality Manager in resolving non-conformities related to ground training
  • Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure that all ground training activities are conducted in a safe environment with strict adherence to aviation safety standards and promote safety during all training activities
  • Workload & Fatigue Management
  • Ensure instructional staff do not exceed 30 teaching hours per week).

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Current Ground Instructor (Airbus A320 – Technical & Performance)

Approval Requirement:

This position is subject to as per applicable Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR Section 7, Series I, Part VII) and approval by Head of Training
