Job Description

Job Title: GRM Data Analyst

Location: Bengaluru

Reporting to: Senior Program Manager

1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

You will be a part of AB InBev's Global Risk Management (GRM) function, whose core responsibility is to identify top risks and take mitigative actions through internal audits, leading to process improvements and value addition to the business.

GRM Data Science team collaborates with global finance leaders and supports risk identification by delivering scalable analytics tools – enabling data-driven risk monitoring and financial data analysis.

As a GRM Data Analyst, you will be working with expectations to showcase end-to-end ownership – from hands-on development using SQL & python (including implementing ML models for predictive analytics), product delivery and stakeholder management.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Risk Analytics Development: Build scalable analytics solutions and risk scoring frameworks to identify risk areas, anomalies, and high-risk transactions using SQL, Python and ML models.
  • Apply Scalable & Best Practices: Ensure clean, modular code, standardized logics and reusable frameworks that enable reliable, production-ready analytics
  • Enable Decisions through Insights: Translate analytics into clear dashboards and outputs that support audit planning, risk monitoring, and business decisions.
  • Drive Adoption & Business Impact: Embed analytics into business workflows, ensuring outputs are understood, trusted, and actively used in decision-making.
  • Be a Mentor: Coach junior analysts, interns by providing guidance and feedback

2. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in analytics roles, with a track record of solving real business problems using data.
  • Experience in delivering analytics for finance, risk management, internal audit is a plus

SKILLS

Technical Skills - Must Have

  • SQL: Ability to write production-quality queries on large financial and transactional data sets.
  • Python: Data analysis using PySpark, feature engineering, ML Ops, CI/CD, model prototyping.
  • Coding Standards: Ability to write clean, modular, maintainable code.
  • Defining KPIs: Ability to translate business objectives into well-defined, actionable metrics.

Technical Skills - Preferred

  • Power BI: Dashboard development and business-facing analytics products.
  • Risk Analytics: Anomaly detection, risk scoring, predictive analytics, or smart sampling.
  • ML: Evaluating model performance, false positives, explainability, and business usefulness.
  • GenAI: Use cases such as document review, summarization, retrieval, or theme extraction.

Functional Skills - Must Have

  • Ability to turn ambiguous business problems into structured analytics outputs, metrics.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong end-to-end product ownership mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to coach junior team members and interns.

Functional Skills - Preferred

  • Stakeholder management in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Experience with prioritization and delivery in fast paced environments.
  • Knowledge of risk management, internal audit or finance / supply chain processes.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

This is not a pure research data science or a pure reporting role. The expectation is to build analytics that become part of how risk and audit decisions are made. The role requires technical depth, business judgment, and discipline to make analytics usable at scale.
