Known for our impactful storytelling and strong presence on social media, especially Instagram, we engage millions by fostering critical thinking, awareness, and lively discussions.

We are hiring a Graphic Designer who can help us create sharp, impactful, and visually strong content for news, explainers, social media posts, and other digital-first formats.

Responsibilities:

  • Create visuals for news stories, explainers, carousels, and social media posts that go live across The Tatva's platforms.
  • Design creative templates, graphics, and visual systems for recurring news formats.
  • Translate breaking news, current affairs, and editorial ideas into clear, engaging, and visually impactful designs.
  • Work on Instagram-first creatives that are easy to understand, scroll-stopping, and aligned with The Tatva's visual identity.
  • Collaborate closely with writers, editors, and the creative team to understand the story and bring it alive visually.
  • Use design, typography, layout, image selection, and composition to simplify complex news topics for a wider audience.
  • Use AI tools to assist with ideation, visual references, image enhancement, faster execution, and creative exploration.
  • Maintain consistency in the visual language of The Tatva while also experimenting with new formats and design styles.
  • Work in a fast-moving news environment and deliver high-quality creatives within tight timelines.
  • Stay updated with social media design trends, news formats, internet culture, and platform-first storytelling.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio of social media creatives, news visuals, carousels, explainers, or editorial design.
  • Strong command over design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Figma, or other relevant software.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools for design, image generation, visual enhancement, ideation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Basic understanding of motion graphics or After Effects will be a plus.
  • Good understanding of Instagram, news, current affairs, internet culture, and what makes content engaging.
  • Strong sense of layout, typography, color, composition, image selection, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising on quality.
  • Ability to understand editorial context and convert information into simple, effective visuals.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to bring new visual ideas, formats, and treatments to the table.
  • Prior experience in digital media, news, social media, or content-led brands will be preferred.
