Overview

The Cogent is seeking a talented Branding Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role demands strong visual sensibilities, an understanding of brand psychology, and the ability to work with both traditional and AI-powered design tools. You will conceptualise and produce compelling brand visuals aligned with client objectives and emerging design trends.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute impactful visual concepts aligned with brand messaging.
  • Use Adobe Suite, CorelDRAW, and AI tools to produce engaging design assets.
  • Maintain consistency across branding elements for all digital and print outputs.
  • Adapt designs for social media, websites, print collateral, and brand campaigns.
  • Follow industry trends, especially related to AI-driven creative automation.
  • Convert creative briefs into visually appealing and high-performing brand assets.

Requirements & Skills

Core Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in branding-focused graphic design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and CorelDRAW.
  • Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, composition & brand identity.
  • Experience with both print and digital design formats.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Degree or diploma in Graphic Design or related field.

AI Tools Proficiency (Preferred)

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, Midjourney, DALLE, Runway ML, or similar tools.
  • Ability to use generative AI for faster concept creation and design enhancement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

To evaluate performance and contribution to the creative team, the following KPIs will be measured:

1. Design Quality & Creativity (30%)

  • Delivery of polished, high-quality brand assets.
  • Originality of design concepts and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Positive internal and client feedback on design output.

2. Timely Delivery & Productivity (25%)

  • Meeting project deadlines consistently.
  • Efficient workflow and error-free file submissions.
  • Number of projects completed per month.

3. Brand Consistency & Accuracy (15%)

  • Maintain consistency across all visuals and formats.
  • Accurate execution of briefs without rework.

4. AI & Tool Utilisation (10%)

  • Effective use of AI tools to enhance speed and creativity.
  • Contribution to AI-driven design innovation within the team.

5. Collaboration & Communication (10%)

  • Smooth coordination with marketing, strategy, and creative teams.
  • Clear communication and understanding of briefs.

6. Professional Growth & Trend Awareness (10%)

  • Continuous improvement and upskilling.
  • Keeping up with emerging design and branding trends.
