Job purpose:
Janes is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer with a strong creative vision and the ability to deliver visually compelling designs that align with brand identity and project goals. The Graphic Designer will be working on projects from across Janes.
Objectives of this role:
Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualise and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
Obtain inputs from the design head, ensuring designs meet organisational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
Work independently and co-operatively on multiple projects with various teams, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload
Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategise with multiple teams for a wide range of designs that may include magazines pages, presentations, maps, satellite imagery, and infographics
Skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
2+ years hands-on experience (academic and professional) with Adobe Creative Cloud design software such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc
Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
Knowledge of ArcGIS would be an added advantage
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Organisational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training
