Graphic Design Intern

VMM Collective is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our growing team in Kochi.

We are a strategy-led branding and design studio working with ambitious businesses across D2C, hospitality, wellness, startups and legacy brands. We bring strategy, storytelling and visual design together to create brands that are clear, distinctive and built to connect.

This isn't an internship where you'll spend six months resizing social media posts.

You'll work on real brands, real briefs and real design problems.

What you'll do

As a Graphic Design Intern, you'll contribute to projects across:

• Brand identity and visual systems
• Packaging design
• Digital and social media design
• Presentations and pitch decks
• Concepts and creative exploration
• Print and marketing collateral
• Illustration and visual storytelling
• Design adaptations and brand rollouts

You'll work closely with the Founder and Creative Director, gaining exposure to both the creative and strategic sides of branding.

You'll see how a client brief becomes a question, how that question becomes a strategy, and how that strategy becomes a visual system.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in graphic design and, more importantly, a genuine curiosity about design.

You should:

• Have a good understanding of typography, composition, colour and visual hierarchy
• Be comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite
• Have a portfolio that demonstrates your thinking and creative ability
• Have a strong eye for detail
• Be curious about brands, culture and visual communication
• Be willing to experiment and explore different ideas
• Be comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on your work
• Be able to explain the thinking behind your design decisions

You don't need to know everything.

We care more about how you think, how you observe and how quickly you learn.
