Graphic Design Intern

Cityfurnish is one of India's leading furniture and appliance rental platforms, helping individuals and businesses furnish spaces through affordable, flexible, and hassle-free subscription solutions.Founded in 2015 and Backed by Y Combinator and marquee investors including Steve Chen (co-founder, YouTube) and Paul Buchheit (creator of Gmail), we're building the operating system for how urban India furnishes homes.

Role Overview

This is not a traditional designer role. We are looking for an AI Savy Graphic Design Intern where you'll work closely with the brand, growth, content, and performance marketing teams to create impactful visual experiences across digital platforms and directly influence brand visibility, social media growth, performance marketing campaigns and product storytelling. We're looking for designers who want to create at the frontier of creativity + technology and someone who can think beyond static creatives — someone who understands internet culture, visual storytelling, performance content, and AI-powered creative workflows. If you love experimenting with AI tools, creating viral content, editing high-performing videos, and shipping creative ideas fast — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

• Design high-quality static creatives for digital campaigns and performance marketing
• Create engaging social media posts, carousels, banners, ad creatives, thumbnails, and promotional assets
• Develop visually compelling creatives aligned with current content and design trends
• Build pitch decks, presentations, and marketing collateral
• Contribute to evolving Cityfurnish's visual identity across platforms
• Create creatives optimized for conversions, engagement, and click-through performance.

Video Editing

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, ads, and campaigns
• Add transitions, sound design, captions, hooks, effects, and platform-native formatting.

AI-Driven Creative Production

Leverage AI tools to streamline and elevate creative output across design and video workflows.

This includes:

• AI-assisted concept generation
• Image generation and editing
• AI video generation
• Background replacement/enhancement
• Prompt engineering for creative outputs

Brand Consistency

• Ensure all creative output aligns with Cityfurnish's brand identity and visual language
• Maintain high visual standards even in fast production cycles
• Balance creativity, speed, consistency, and business objectives
• Organize and maintain creative assets and templates efficiently

Required Skills:

Must-Haves

• 6 months of experience in graphic design and/or video editing
• Strong portfolio showcasing both static and motion work
• Deep expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects) or equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of composition, typography, color, pacing, and storytelling
• Ability to work fast without compromising quality
• Hands on proficiency with AI tools ( Gemini, Canva AI, Midjourney or equivalent)
