About Position
This role is responsible for managing and optimizing Grafana-based observability platforms using DevOps practices, ensuring efficient monitoring, automation, and system performance across enterprise environments.

What You'll Do
- Administer, operate, and upgrade observability and monitoring platforms with a strong automation and GitOps approach
- Perform installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations using infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices
- Manage and optimize Grafana dashboards, alerts, and queries to ensure performance and cost efficiency
- Perform platform health checks and analyze data quality, ingestion patterns, and alerting effectiveness
- Troubleshoot performance issues including deadlocks, blocking, long running queries, and resource bottlenecks
- Develop tools for administration, testing, automated deployment, and monitoring
- Support development and infrastructure teams in identifying relevant observability use cases
- Guide teams on selecting appropriate data for ingestion into monitoring platforms
- Conduct audits and reviews of monitoring implementations across teams
- Coach and support teams on recommended observability tools, standards, and best practices
- Contribute to the definition of norms, standards, and governance for monitoring platforms
- Perform technology watch and contribute to evaluations of new features and tools
Expertise You'll Bring
- Strong expertise in Grafana administration and development
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Hands-on experience with Open Telemetry and modern observability concepts
- Solid Linux system and network administration knowledge
- Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Scripting experience with Python
- Proficiency with Git and GitLab workflows
- Knowledge of LDAP and authentication protocols in cloud environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work proactively with multiple teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
