We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) to join our Software Automation team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field who are eager to build their career at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and software automation.
As a GET, you will contribute to the development of automation solutions that support engineering and manufacturing teams. Your daily work will involve working with enterprise CAD/CAM applications, generating CAM compliant 3d data and processes. You will be contributing to software engineering tasks, such as programming, building/testing application, etc. Part of you work will include working with MS Office 365 products.
All activities have to comply with the Quality and EHS rules of the Company within area of applicability.
Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): -
- Work with CAD/CAM software CATIA V5 to create, modify, or automate engineering models, drawings and processes.
- Assist in writing and maintaining software application programs in languages like C# and Python.
- Contribute in software building, releasing/packaging tasks to deliver applications to customers.
- Prepare MS Office documents, like parametric Excel spreadsheets, release notes, user documentation, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to understand requirements, gather customer pain points, and identify automation opportunities.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of CAD concepts (e.g., 2D drawings, 3D modelling).
- Familiarity with MS Office 365 application suite.
- Logical thinking and interest in automation or programming.
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Quick learner with a proactive approach toward problem-solving.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Exposure to CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, VBA, JavaScript, or any scripting language.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes or engineering workflows.
- Interest in digital transformation, automation, or engineering software.
