ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accountant Trainee to join our finance department. This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about a career in accounting. You will work closely with our senior accountants, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in various aspects of corporate finance and accounting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices, expense claims, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform bank statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support the team in the preparation of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Recent graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome.
- A strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Basic knowledge of accounting software like Tally ERP 9 is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
