Job description
A Government Tender Executive oversees the entire public procurement bid process, from identifying opportunities on portals like GeM and CPPP to final submission. They analyze tender documents, coordinate with internal teams for technical/financial inputs, ensure compliance, and manage deadlines to maximize winning bids. Key skills include, proficiency in Excel, understanding contract law, and experience in B2G sales.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Identification: Regularly searching and tracking government tenders, e-auctions, and requests for proposals (RFPs) across relevant portals.
Bid Preparation & Submission: Studying tender documents, technical specifications, and BOQs to prepare and submit high-quality, compliant bids, both online and offline.
Documentation & Compliance: Managing all necessary documentation, including Earnest Money Deposits (EMD), Bank Guarantees, and eligibility certifications.
Internal Coordination: Liaising with technical, legal, and finance departments to gather inputs for proposals.
Relationship Management: Acting as the primary contact for government clients and handling pre-bid meetings.
Post-Submission Follow-up: Tracking tender status, handling negotiations, and monitoring for corrigendums.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in managing government tenders (B2G), often requiring 5+ years for senior roles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and e-procurement portals.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of public procurement rules, tender laws, and contract management.
Competencies: Excellent communication, analytical skills, and ability to work under strict deadlines.
