Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Government Sales Manager role based in Gurugram. The Government Sales Manager will manage end-to-end sales cycles with Central and State Government Departments, including lead generation, tender and bid management, proposal preparation, and contract closure. Responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders, understanding department needs, and positioning the company's IT and integrated solutions accordingly. The role involves monitoring Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other procurement portals, preparing compliant documentation, and coordinating with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate responses. The Government Sales Manager will track sales performance against targets, provide regular forecasts and reports, and contribute to business planning, pricing strategies, and account development for key public sector clients.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales capabilities, including Sales and Sales Processes, with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience in Account Management and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build long-term relationships with government and enterprise clients.
  • Skills in Business Planning, including pipeline management, forecasting, and strategic account planning.
  • Prior experience in Government / PSU / GeM sales or public sector IT solution selling is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes, tendering, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with strong documentation and proposal-writing abilities.
  • Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
