Job Description: Government Sales Manager
We seek a dynamic Government Sales Engineer/Manager specializing in Networking, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and Server SAN solutions for public sector clients. This role focuses on driving sales through government tenders, bids, and compliance-driven processes in the ICT/telecom domain.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue government tender opportunities in networking, Wi-Fi, CCTV, server, and SAN solutions; prepare and submit compliant bids per e-tendering portals like GeM, NIC.
Engage government departments to understand RFPs, conduct needs analysis, and propose tailored technical solutions aligned with Make in India and procurement norms.
Design bid-specific solutions, including BOMs, technical diagrams, pricing, and compliance documentation; collaborate with sales and engineering for winning proposals.
Present solutions to government officials, demonstrate products, and handle technical queries during pre-bid meetings and evaluations.
Build relationships with government buyers, PSUs, and vendors; maintain a database of OEMs for compliant sourcing.
Track bid pipelines, provide sales reports, and ensure post-bid support for contract execution.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
5+ years in government sales or pre-sales, with proven expertise in govt. tendering/bidding procedures (e.g., GeM, eProcure).
Strong knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi, CCTV, servers, and SAN; familiarity with govt. standards like STQC certification.
Proficiency in bid tools (e.g., network design software, MS Office); excellent communication for govt. interactions.
Certifications like CCNA, CWNA, or govt. sales training a plus.
