Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Government Business Development Intern to

support Joveo's entry into the public sector market. This role will involve compliance

preparation, market analysis, and business development activities to position Joveo as a trusted

partner for government agencies and prime contractors. The intern will gain hands-on exposure

to federal and state contracting processes, while contributing directly to pipeline growth and

strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Government Readiness & Compliance

  • Support Joveo's registration process in federal and state procurement systems (e.g., SAM.gov, eVA).
  • Research and document requirements for federal and state certifications, approvals, and licenses.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of necessary documents for compliance.
  • Maintain a checklist of government readiness milestones and report progress to leadership.

Market & Opportunity Assessment

  • Conduct research on U.S. federal, state, and local agencies that procure recruitment, staffing, or technology services.
  • Analyze contracting data to understand frequency of opportunities, size of awards, and agency buying patterns.
  • Develop profiles of key government buyers, including their mission, contracting behavior, and procurement vehicles.
  • Monitor bid opportunities and RFIs/RFPs, summarizing key requirements for leadership review.

Lead Generation & Partner Identification

  • Identify and qualify prime contractors who could benefit from Joveo as a subcontractor or teaming partner.
  • Research companies past performance, contract awards, and strategic focus areas.
  • Build and maintain a database of potential partners and update contact details, contract history, and opportunity fit.

Pipeline Development & Outreach

  • Assist in creating outreach materials (intro emails, capability statements, briefing decks) tailored for agencies and primes.
  • Support initial outreach to prospective partners/agencies by introducing Joveo, setting up meetings, and managing follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach and interactions in the CRM system.
  • Track leads through the pipeline, from initial identification to engagement and meeting setup.

Qualifications:

  • Strong research and analytical skills, including comfort with data-heavy tasks.
  • Interest in government contracting, compliance, or business development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
