Google Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Data Engineer with 6+ years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Python, SQL, and Big Data technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for building scalable batch and real-time data pipelines, implementing modern data warehousing solutions, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting enterprise-wide data modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Build and optimize ETL/ELT solutions for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.

Develop cloud-native data architectures using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.

Implement real-time streaming solutions using Pub/Sub and Dataflow.

Design and manage enterprise data lakes and modern data warehouse environments.

Optimize BigQuery performance through partitioning, clustering, and query tuning.

Develop reusable frameworks and automation for data integration and processing.

Collaborate with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Architects, and Product Teams.

Implement data quality, governance, metadata management, and security controls.

Support CI/CD deployment strategies and infrastructure automation.

Perform production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
