Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. The role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate and fair assessment of gold collateral. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing precise appraisals that mitigate risk and enhance customer trust. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic financial services environment.

Responsibilities:-

Conduct thorough and accurate appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine market value for loan sanctioning purposes.
Verify the authenticity and purity of gold items using industry-standard testing methods and equipment.
Stay updated with current gold market prices, trends, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance and accurate valuation.
Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold-backed loan applications.
Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, test results, and valuation reports for audit and compliance purposes.
Identify and report any discrepancies or potential fraud related to gold assets during the appraisal process.
Provide expert advice and training to branch staff on gold appraisal standards and procedures.
Ensure adherence to the bank's policies and regulatory requirements related to gold loan operations.
Participate in periodic audits and inspections to validate appraisal accuracy and process integrity.
Continuously improve appraisal methodologies by incorporating technological advancements and best practices in the industry.
