Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands expertise in assessing the quality, purity, and market value of gold to facilitate secure and efficient gold-backed lending. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of gold valuation techniques, compliance with regulatory standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic financial services environment to support the bank's commitment to customer trust and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:-

Conduct accurate and thorough appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine purity, weight, and market value in accordance with industry standards and bank policies.
Verify authenticity of gold items using specialized tools and techniques to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to provide timely and precise valuation reports that support gold loan disbursement decisions.
Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, assay reports, and valuation certificates, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Stay updated on current gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes impacting gold loan operations.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements related to gold appraisal and loan processing activities.
Train and mentor junior appraisal staff to enhance team capabilities and maintain high standards of appraisal accuracy.
Coordinate with security and logistics teams to manage the safe handling, storage, and transportation of gold assets during the loan lifecycle.
Participate in periodic audits and inspections to validate appraisal processes and compliance with bank policies and legal frameworks.
Provide expert advice to management on risk mitigation strategies related to gold loan collateral valuation.
