How will you make an impact in this role

The cloud automation team plays a pivotal role in the public cloud adoption journey at Amex. We architect, build and maintain the infrastructure lifecycle automation workflows, and Infrastructure as Code capabilities. The automation team partners closely with product and security teams to drive the cloud strategy, and ensures the public cloud infrastructure provisioned is resilient, secure and cost optimized.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement public cloud automation frameworks and solutions.
• Develop custom Terraform providers and modules.
• Implement robust CICD pipelines with security and compliance checks.
• Implement automated solutions for cost monitoring, reporting and optimization.
• Provide expert level support for complex issues, incidents, problems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or equivalent.
• 6-9 years of IT experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Go Lang programming experience.
• 2+ years of Terraform experience.
• Strong AWS cloud hands-on experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong cross team collaboration skills
• AWS Associate or Professional level certification
• Terraform Associate certification
