Job Title: Golang Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Go-based microservices that support financial transactions and business workflows.
Build and enhance event-driven applications using Kafka and other messaging technologies.
Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services.
Support the development and maintenance of real-time data pipelines and integrations.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Contribute to database development, data modelling, and query optimization using Oracle and Snowflake.
Participate in cloud-based application deployment and infrastructure automation using AWS and Terraform.
Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Follow engineering best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines to ensure reliable and maintainable software.

Required Skills & Experience

4-6 years of experience in software development, preferably in backend or distributed systems development.
Hands-on experience with Go (Golang) and understanding of microservices architecture.
Basic to intermediate experience working with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.
Build and enhance event-driven applications using Kafka and other messaging technologies.
Good understanding of REST APIs, backend service development, and software design principles.
Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases such as Oracle.
Exposure to Snowflake or other modern data platforms is preferred.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure concepts.
Working knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to financial systems, payment processing, or transaction-based applications.
Understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems concepts.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Interest in AI/ML technologies and automation solutions is a plus.

Education Qualification

B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
Technical certifications preferred (AWS, Linux, Windows, Atlassian, etc)
