Job Description

Job Purpose:

As Product Manager for Royal Enfield Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (Accessories ), you will be part of the Global Commercial Organization and report to the Team Manager - Product Strategy, Accessories. In this role, you will be considered the driving force behind the product portfolio, the Accessories brand and its product roadmap (incl Next Gen), analyzing market and competitive conditions, customer trends and layout a complete strategy that delivers to all customer demands. Your role will span many activities from strategic to tactical and ensure cross-functional communication both in written and visual, bridging gaps within the company between different functions; most notably engineering-oriented teams, sales & marketing as well as other supporting functions. This will be achieved by means of controlled product documentation and strong verbal dissemination throughout the business. You will guide the downstream teams to deliver a product portfolio that is aspirational for consumers and meets the commercial targets laid out by the business.

What you'll do:

Customer and Market Insights:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand rider needs, accessory usage patterns, purchase drivers, unmet needs and ownership experiences across assigned motorcycle platforms.
  • Gather and synthesize Voice of Customer (VOC) inputs from riders, dealers, ride communities, social media channels and field observations to support product strategy decisions.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, competitor activities and industry developments to identify opportunities for portfolio growth.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitive product database covering OEM and aftermarket accessory offerings.
  • Monitor and communicate notable accessory product launches, emerging technologies and market innovations within the Product Strategy and Concept Design teams.

Accessories Product Strategy and Planning:

  • Translate customer VOC, market insights and competitive benchmarking into clear and comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) supported by robust business case justification.
  • Develop platform specific accessory strategies aligned to customer needs, rider usage scenarios and business objectives that deliver differentiated customer value and sustainable business growth.
  • Ensure product features, specifications and pricing strategies are competitive, commercially viable and aligned with profitability targets.

Product Development and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Support Concept Engineering in developing conceptual solutions that address defined customer requirements and product strategy objectives.
  • Ensure all product proposals meet business case requirements, profitability expectations and all commercial targets prior to development handover.
  • Collaborate closely with Industrial Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment throughout the product development process.
  • Evaluate accessory concepts, engineering prototypes and tooled up parts at key development milestones and ensure the products align with customer feedback and commercial targets.
  • Act as the bridge between customer requirements and engineering solutions, ensuring product intent is maintained throughout development.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment to ensure successful delivery of accessory programs within agreed timelines and business objectives.

Portfolio and Lifecycle Management:

  • Own the Accessories Portfolio for assigned motorcycle platforms and drive portfolio performance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage lifecycle planning activities including New Product Introduction (NPI), Refresh, Continue and Discontinue recommendations.
  • Monitor portfolio performance through data analytics i.e. conversion rates, revenue, profitability and customer feedback, recommending corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure timely release and maintenance of all Product Strategy documentation to support planned product launches and business objectives.

Launch Support:

  • Work with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and execute product launch plans, including timing, pricing, training materials, product communication and dealer readiness activities.
  • Communicate product positioning, features and benefits to internal and external stakeholders including marketing teams, sales teams, dealers, agencies, media and customers.
  • Support GTM planning activities to maximize product adoption and commercial performance.

What you'll bring:

Experience:

  • 6-8 Years of experience in a similar role.
  • Motorcycle industry experience is advantageous.
  • Product Management or Development experience in a product driven company with a global customer base.
  • Experience of developing and managing product/feature business cases, including volume and pricing assessment.
  • Proven success in all phases of the product life cycle; identification of need, development of product requirements, product design, quality and production hand-off, launch and ongoing product management.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the automotive or motorcycle market.
  • Passion for motorcycles and motorcycle license.

Qualification: Degree in economics or engineering with a strong focus on marketing or product

management.
