Role
The GM/AGM (Engineering) leads end-to-end execution of EPC power projects, including EHV switchyards, substations, and transmission lines. Reporting to the Directors/CEO, the role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant project delivery across the EPC lifecycle. Key responsibilities include engineering oversight, commissioning, risk and cash flow management, and government/regulatory liaison. The role also drives team leadership, strategic decision-making, and high-level client engagement. Additionally, the position supports business growth through client expansion and strategic market development.
Job Responsibilities
- Technical Responsibilities
- Engineering of EHV Switchyard/Sub-Stations and Transmission Line
- Charging and Commissioning of line and substation
- Evaluation and Checking of Equipment drawings and GTP as per project requirements.
- Technical understanding of Power-related Equipment and accessories
- EPC Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of EPC projects, including handover and delivery of project.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
- Implement risk management strategies to anticipate and mitigate project challenges.
- Drive innovation and adopt best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Conducting all business in strict compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulations.
- Managing project Cash Flow (inflow vis--vis outflow)
- Government Liaison and Stakeholder Management
- Build and sustain strong relationships with government officials, and regulatory bodies.
- Secure necessary clearances, approvals, and partnerships for project success.
- Represent the organization in high-stakes negotiations and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Engaging in high-level negotiation, proposals or conflict resolution with client.
- Leadership and Team Development
- Recruit, develop, and lead a multi-disciplinary team to execute high-impact projects.
- Inspire and mentor team members, foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Promote accountability and ownership within the team, ensuring project success.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Monitor and analyze project performance, preparing detailed reports and actionable insights.
- Use data to refine strategies, address challenges, and enhance outcomes.
- Present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership
- Developing long term Strategies to differentiate the company from competitors.
- Business Development
- Develop Global Marketing network. Increase Client portfolio. Obtain Enquires and complete pre-qualification for customer.
- Generating Revenue by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share and profitability.
