We are looking for a Global Transport Planning Specialist who can ensure efficient and compliant transportation planning, manage global shipment execution, coordinate with logistics partners across regions, and support continuous improvement initiatives to deliver reliable and cost-effective supply chain operations.

In your future role as Global Transport Planning Specialist, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end shipment planning and transportation activities utilizing SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
  • Coordinate booking placements with freight forwarders and ocean carriers to ensure timely transportation execution.
  • Monitor and maintain transport management system updates to ensure shipment visibility and data accuracy.
  • Maintain logistics master data including freight rates, transportation lanes, and other logistics-related information.
  • Create and manage transportation transactions such as deliveries, shipments, and invoices.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Sales, Warehouse & Inventory teams, Planning teams, and other stakeholders globally.
  • Generate and maintain operational reports covering open orders, closed orders, inventory availability, and transportation activities.
  • Manage leased and shipper-owned equipment such as ISO tanks and reefer containers, including return-to-origin planning.
  • Ensure compliance with dangerous goods regulations and transportation requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain import/export customs documentation for shipments across North America, Europe, APAC, and Brazil.
  • Identify transportation and system-related issues, proactively engage stakeholders, and drive resolution.
  • Support regional logistics and supply chain functions, including Customer Service, EXIM, and Toller Operations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain MIS reports and logistics performance metrics.
  • Work closely with Documentation teams to facilitate draft Bills of Lading (BLs) and shipping documentation.
  • Create, manage, and maintain logistics data to support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.

Great if you have

  • Strong knowledge of international logistics, transportation planning, and global supply chain operations.
  • Experience working with SAP, S/4HANA, and SAP Transportation Management (TM).
  • Thorough understanding of import/export processes, customs documentation, and commercial trade terms.
  • Strong knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations and IMO compliance requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, customs agents, and international stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in reporting and analytical tools, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively within a global, cross-functional environment.

We believe you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in international logistics, transportation planning, or supply chain operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience handling Dangerous Goods shipments.
  • Experience working in a global business environment supporting international transportation operations.
  • Strong knowledge of EXIM processes, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Willingness to work in regional time zones including North America, Europe, or APAC based on business requirements.

Good to know

This is a permanent full-time position based in Navi Mumbai, India, reporting to the Logistics Team Lead – Global Transport Planning. The role supports global transportation operations across North America, Europe, APAC, and Brazil and may require flexibility to work in regional time zones based on business needs.
