This Position reports to:

Global Technical Support - Mechanical


Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Motion business for High Power division based in Vadodara, India

You will be mainly accountable for:
. Offers technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications for Regions - North America, Canada, LATAM and Middle East including India.
. Supports the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers
. Collaborate with GTSS Team in the other regions to develop best practices / processes.
. Assisting the sales organizations during encounters with customers, and providing technical assistance and clarification as needed.
. Identify and propose product and/or tool related trainings for the sales channel.
. Generate detailed technical documentation for the proposed solution and document any deviations from the requirements as needed.
. Provide extra costs for design, accessories for the existing product portfolio as needed.


Qualifications for the role
  • Full time bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, working as a Design engineer in the field of large induction motors.
  • Solid understanding of the ABB products and their applications.
  • Knowledge of Motor design programs, Microsoft Office Products and Salesforce. Advanced communication, influencing, coaching and management skills
  • Fluent English, good communication skills.
  • Candidate should open to work in flexible hours to support other regions as per the time zones.​
