Global Strategic Sourcing LeadBusiness : Piramal Pharma Solutions Department : SCM Location : Kurla Band : 3Job Description Business : Piramal Pharma Solutions Department : SCM Location : Kurla Band : 3 Relevant Experience : - Minimum of 8 years in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within pharma / healthcare sector - Direct experience managing sourcing efforts across multiple sites or international geographies. - Documented success in achieving significant cost savings through strategic initiatives. - Familiarity with e-auction platforms and advanced negotiation tools. - Awareness of supply chain risk management and sustainability measures. Key Responsibilities This role is responsible for streamlining the supplier base, standardizing requirements across manufacturing sites, overseeing vendor performance, securing cost reductions, leading vendor negotiations, managing internal approvals, and supporting contract activities. - Cost Reduction Initiatives: Implement sourcing strategies that realise measurable savings through negotiation, volume leverage, and market intelligence analysis. - Direct Negotiations: Conduct face-to-face negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, pricing, and service agreements, fostering mutually beneficial relationships. - Requirements Harmonization: Drive the standardization of materials and services across multiple manufacturing locations to ensure consistency and achieve financial efficiencies. - Vendor Base Optimization: Assess and refine the supplier base to minimize complexity, consolidate relationships, and enhance operational effectiveness while upholding quality standards. - Vendor Performance Oversight: Establish and monitor vendor performance metrics and continuous improvement plans to guarantee high-quality service delivery and adherence to contractual commitments. - Approval Management: Collaborate with internal partners to obtain necessary approvals for sourcing plans, contracts, and vendor selections, ensuring organizational alignment. - Contractual Support: Work closely with legal and procurement teams on contract development, review, and execution to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards. - Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, leveraging industry insights, spend analytics, and supplier innovation. - Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with teams across manufacturing, finance, operations, and engineering to align sourcing objectives with organizational goals and project deliverables. Competencies: Stakeholder Management Expertise: - Relationship Management: Proven ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.- Influence and Negotiation: Demonstrated strength in influencing decisions and negotiating to align diverse interests. - Conflict Resolution: Proficiency in resolving conflicts to maintain progress and positive working relationships. - Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate sourcing strategies and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. - Project Coordination: Strong project management skills, particularly in managing expectations, timelines, and deliverables for complex, multi-site projects. - Technical Proficiency: - Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., GEP SMART, SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).- Understanding of contract management procedures and legal compliance. - Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of global sourcing practices, supplier management, and market trends within [insert relevant industry]. - Analytical Ability: Advanced skills in data analysisparticularly relating to spend patterns, market developments, and vendor performanceto inform strategic decision-making.
