We're Hiring: Global Scientific Leader – 3D Tissue Models, Skin & Hair Explant Research
We are expanding our global human tissue research platform and are seeking an exceptional scientific leader to drive the next phase of growth in 3D tissue models, ex vivo skin, and hair explant research.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who combines deep scientific expertise with operational excellence, team building, and commercial vision.
About the Role
The Global Scientific Leader will lead the scientific and strategic development of our platform, expand assay capabilities, strengthen tissue sourcing and biobanking partnerships, standardize global methods and SOPs, and help position the organization as a leading partner in skin and hair research worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global strategy for 3D tissue models, skin explants, and hair explant research
- Expand assay offerings across efficacy, safety, inflammation, repair, pigmentation, barrier function, penetration, and hair biology
- Build and manage partnerships for human tissue procurement, biobanking, and translational research
- Standardize SOPs, quality systems, training, and study workflows across sites
- Drive assay robustness, reproducibility, and client-ready scientific delivery
- Recruit, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary scientific teams
- Partner with business development and leadership to support growth, proposals, and strategic collaborations
- Represent the organization externally through scientific, client, and industry engagement
Ideal Candidate
- PhD, MSc, or equivalent experience in cell biology, tissue engineering, dermatology, hair biology, pharmacology, toxicology, or related discipline
- Significant experience in 3D tissue models, organotypic culture, ex vivo skin, hair follicle biology, or translational derm research
- Proven success in building, scaling, or leading advanced biological research platforms
- Strong knowledge of human tissue-based assays, histology/imaging endpoints, and study design
- Experience with tissue sourcing, biobanking, quality systems, and client-facing scientific programs
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Global mindset with the ability to build capability, partnerships, and reach across markets
