Role: Sales Director (Global)
Location: Remote / Work From Home
Shift: US time zone
Reporting to: CEO
Team: Sales Managers/Account Executives + BDR/SDR team
Role Description
The Global Sales Director will oversee sales operations, drive business development efforts, manage and lead the sales team to meet goals and maintain excellent customer service standards. The role involves strategizing and implementing sales plans, fostering client relationships and ensuring consistent revenue growth across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Strategy
Manage global revenue targets and drive predictable pipeline generation and closures.
Define and execute go-to-market strategy across regions/segments.
Establish sales playbooks, cadence and process to move from founder-led to scalable sales.
Team Leadership (Sales + BDR)
Lead, mentor and performance-manage a team of AEs/Sales Managers and BDRs/SDRs.
Set clear KPIs: activity, meetings, pipeline coverage, conversion rates and retention/expansion signals.
Pipeline Management & Forecasting
Build and maintain strong pipeline hygiene in CRM; ensure accurate stage definitions and next steps.
Own weekly forecasting, pipeline reviews, deal strategy sessions and QBRs.
Identify bottlenecks and improve conversion at each funnel stage.
Enterprise/Strategic Selling
Lead key deals end-to-end: discovery, solutioning, proposal, negotiation and closing.
Build relationships with senior stakeholders; manage multi-threaded opportunities.
Partner with Customer Success for handoffs, renewals, upsells and churn risk mitigation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Marketing to align campaigns, lead quality, attribution and messaging.
Provide feedback loops to Product on customer needs, competitive intel and roadmap priorities.
Required Qualifications
8+ years in B2B sales with 3+ years leading sales teams (AEs + BDR/SDR).
Proven track record of hitting revenue targets and scaling pipeline in a global/remote environment.
Strong expertise in Sales and Business Development, with the ability to strategize and achieve revenue targets.
Experience working in international markets and a deep understanding of global sales dynamics.
Expertise in forecasting, deal management and CRM discipline.
Excellent communication skills and comfortable working in US shifts with global stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience selling SaaS / IT services / product-led or mid-market/enterprise solutions
Experience setting up territories, quotas, comp plans and sales enablement from scratch.
